Sometimes no matter the good intentions, life just trips you up and gets in the way of what you intended. So apologies for being a very bad blogger but I'm now on it, and will clear the backlog of projects and posts over the next couple of weeks.
I thought I'd start today with this month's layout sample.....
.... where the techniques covered were creating layered painty, inky backgrounds using cling film to transfer the paint to the page with lots of layers of paper and background stamps topped off with MYO Texture Paste applied through a stencil onto kraft card - this is one of my favourites from My Mind's Eye and the paper layers are a mix of Bazzill and the new Snap papers from Simple Stories. Great fun and not a brush or pallette to wash either lol!
This is as far as I got during the workshop, needs a little something but I'll need to worry about that later as I have at least four other WIPs cluttering up my desk. Have you noticed the addiction to the new Kaisercraft Captured Moments stamp sets continues, they are ideal if you are a pocket scrapper and if like me you're not, then they are ideal for you too!
We still haven't got our car back but do have a hire one so tomorrow evening's Stop By & Stamp will go ahead from 6pm to 9pm with, of course, the usual daytime session from 11am to 3pm. We have a set of the new Hero Arts Colour Layering stamps to play with too!
Back soon with more projects including the promised step out of the neutral 'Beautiful' hanging for Carrie.
Hope you can join me x
