The workshops this month all have a fresh, light, and bright feel just right for Summer. We will be using lots of new products from Sn@p papers to Kaisercraft stamps, coloured embossing powders to lovely word stamps from Hero Arts with some new PaperArtsy too. Also from Hero Arts we will be using their hugely popular layering stamps plus more of their stamp and cut sets that are just so versatile.

I have been asked so often about how I create the scraped paint backgrounds in my journal so I thought I would offer a step by step workshop to take you from the gesso base right through to the finishing touches. As with all our workshops no experience necessary, beginners always very welcome.

Fresh, clean and simple cards are the order of the day here with the new Sn@p dotty and zigzag papers from Simple Stories. I have included baby, birthday, engagement and graduation cards but they are all interchangeable to suit your preferences.

June Layout Workshop £15/1SWV
This layout uses die cut hearts to create flowers and vines on a single photo layout. A 6"x4" or 3"x5" photo either portrait or landscape is all that is required.

In this workshop we will be creating a 12"x 12" mixed media canvas on the theme of 'spread your wings and fly' using paint, ink, stamps, die cuts, embossed metal and fabric plus we will make our own UTEE heart embellishment too!

Art Journal Sunday £5
Drop by the studio between 11am and 3pm and join in the fun with inks, stamps, stencils, masks, paints and other media all provided. Just bring your journal, pour yourself a cuppa and get started.

In all our workshops and drop in sessions we provide everything you need to complete the project including tools and basic consumables such as adhesive. If you would prefer to work with your own tools, you are of course very welcome to bring them along.
