In the Studio - February 2017

Hello and welcome to February's workshop schedule with all the regular Stop By &.... drop in sessions, the return of AJSunday, the monthly layout and the February Altered Clipboard workshops. The Take One Stamp workshop this month features those quirky characters from Elena Zinski and I have squeezed in a repeat of the Mini Gatefold Album, with a choice of brand new Prima papers from Frank Garcia.

Apologies for there only being five workshops this month but with two shows to attend I couldn't squeeze any more in!

Mini Gatefold Album £30/£27 (if paid at time of booking)

With a choice of papers from Wild & Free or Love Clippings collections by Frank Garcia from Prima (my 'for instance' is the older Rossibelle collection) this great little album measures 6"x6"x2" and has six pages which are also pockets and lots of places to add photos and/or journaling. All tools etc are provided but if you have a favourite trimmer/scoring board you would prefer to use you are welcome to bring it along.

An offset layout with wintry photographs embellished with stamping, inking, stencilling and die cutting, I have used four photos approx 4" x 3" but, as always, the layout can be adapted to suit other numbers and sizes

Altered Clipboard £15/£13.50 (if paid at time of booking)

This cute little chipboard blank from TIm Holtz is just perfect for altering as a home decor piece. February's version has layers of pretty paper scraps from Frank Garcia's Wild and Free collection with handmade UTEE hearts, mini envelopes and shrink plastic and die cut lettering.

In this workshop we are going to use stamps, stencils and inks to create two master boards in different colour ways and then use them to make five cards with the quirky yet cute Monsters by Elena Zinski. Great cards for so many occasions!

Altered Heart £15/£13.50 (if paid at time of booking)

I have used pretty papers and flowers from 49th and Market's Heirloom Botanicals collection to create this stylish altered heart as a gift for a new home, you could adapt it for a birthday, anniversary or other occasion.

Sunday 26 February 11am to 3pm

Art Journal Sunday. £5

It's back! Following a break over Winter Art Journal Sunday is back on the last Sunday of each month. Just fetch your journal, grab a seat, tea or coffee and journal to your 'art's content. You have the use of all the studio inks, paints, mediums, stamps and other consumables and you can stay as lon as you wish!
